In addition to the LPO (Ohio) membership, there is an opportunity to be a member of the National Libertarian Party- LP.There are two definitions for national LP membership:
- A person who has signed the pledge and not donated at least $25 in a calendar year.
- A person who has signed the pledge and has donated $25 or more in a calendar year. This is called a Sustaining Member.
- Sustaining Members also receive a year’s subscription to the LP News and their membership counts towards the number of delegates their state can send to the National LP Convention.
Individuals who join the LPO are not automatically members of the national LP and individuals who join the national LP are not automatically members of the LPO. In order to become a sustaining member of the national LP, members must contribute directly to the national organization.
You can download a mail-in copy of the LP membership form or you may join online by clicking here.
For more information contact the national office at www.lp.org, by email at development@lp.org, or by phone at 1-800-ELECT US.
By contributing to the national LP party you also help Ohio’s status with the national LP party, increase our delegate potential at the national convention, and also increase the potential to have seats on national LP committees.
