LPO APPOINTS BRIDGES TO LEAD POLITICAL DIVISION
COLUMBUS—Libertarian Party of Ohio Chairman Kevin Knedler announced this week the appointment of Bob Bridges as the new political director for the LPO.
Bridges, a member of the LPO central committee and an at-large member of the LPO executive committee, recently won more than 24 thousand votes as a candidate for Columbus city council.
“I’m thrilled to have Bob in this critical position for our election efforts going toward 2012,” Knedler said. “He ran a very active city council campaign, being featured in numerous radio, television and newspaper interviews as well as building a grass-roots organization, and those skills are invaluable.”
“I’m ecstatic about being appointed to lead the political division, and I look forward to the challenge of building on what [past director] Michael Johnston has done,” Bridges said, adding that his main focus will be on candidate support and outreach. “I think I can help give them the tools they need to succeed,” Bridges said.
